From Spain, 46, married, father of two boys and with a background in engineering (Human Factors R&D). I've been interested in buddhism since my teens. First attempt in Theravada, second with zen/FWBO. Too much karma, rebirth and foreing rituals for a western scientific mind! Then I heard of Stephen Batchelor and started to read his books. I don't care if secular buddhism is 'right' but if it works, why worry?
