    Hi, everyone:

I’m happy to have found this group. I’ve been practicing for about 10 years, first with Shambhala, and now I’m with a traditional Tibetan teacher upstate. Over the past few years, I’ve become increasingly aware that I can’t commit myself to the orthodox beliefs held by my teacher and Sangha. I made it through the last year by reading various books by Stephen Batchelor – which was helpful. I’m anticipating that soon I will need to leave my teacher and our new center. I’m saddened by this, but also feeling that I will be able to really integrate my practice with the rest of my life now. Thanks for listening!

In addition to what we may offer, I wonder if you’ve heard of Lama Rod Owens and his project (sorry, I can’t recall the name) to refresh a Vajrayana tradition of which he is a part? It may be worth checking out.
