Episode 315 :: Rick Repetti :: Buddhism, Meditation, and Free Will: A Theory of Mental Freedom

Rick Repetti

Rick Repetti joins us to speak about Buddhism, Meditation, and Free Will: A Theory of Mental Freedom.

One of the quandries philosophers have explored is the concept of free will, whether such agency exists, and what are the implications of it. This is not foreign to Buddhist thought, either, as the relationship between karma and free will become a particularly tangled knot to unweave.

Rick Repetti is Professor of Philosophy at CUNY, USA, and Assistant Editor for the Journal of Buddhist Ethics. His recent publications include the edited book Buddhist Perspectives on Free Will (2016), also published by Routledge.

So, sit back, relax, and have a nice Darjeeling tea.
